Suffering it to be the intention Mr Cardwell to authorise a Loan that Government on the security of its Revenues and Assets, the Ordinance, when sent to this Country should be accompanied by an Official Statement showing the past, present, and prospective value of such securities. Information might easily be exhibited in a tabular form, giving the Statistics, receipts, revenue, and Expenditure, for the last five or seven years, from which it would at once be seen to what extent the trade of the Colony had a tendency to increase or diminish. Any further information calculated to interest capitalists or intending investors might with advantage be added.
